If you are a big fan of craft beer, you will be able to find some wonderful places to try and enjoy their different taste.
Just within walking distance to possibly your residence or office you can find some of these hidden brewpub.
To start with my favorite place is the RISE & WIN Brewing Co. KAMIKATZ TAPROOM located in Higashi Azabu. On tap is usually 8 different brews to taste from, food is also served.
Other venues are the following:
BREWDOG ROPPONGI, has 7 of their own brew and about 17 of the guest beers. Plenty of food to order, a nice place to try several types. I personally liked their Jack Hammer IPA.
CRAFT BEER MARKET TORANOMON, having a choice of 11 types of their own beer, also available are other non craft beers for your drinking pleasure.
HITACHINO BREWING LAB TOKYO, located in Marunouchi, convenient for after work stop over. Having at least 12 beers on tap, you can order a taster set of White Ale /Lager/Dai Dai Ale for 1080 yen. Good food menu to choose from if you are hungry.
CRAFT BEER BAR IBREW GINZA, having 8 selections of craft beers to choose from and a great food menu such as Pulled Pork, Sausages, Lamb Nachos and many others.
TWO DOGS TAPROOM, located in Roppongi, Nogizaka and Nishi-Azabu. Has a wonderful selection of Japanese craft beer over 10 brews, others are from the USA, Italy and Copenhagen. Enjoy these brews with some wonderful California style pizza.
SPRING VALLEY BREWERY, located in Daikanyama, enjoys indoor or outdoor sitting. Inside the room is very large with high ceiling, great atmosphere. Craft beer such as 496, Copeland, Afterdark, brew of the day can be enjoyed as a sampler, with great food to match.
CRAFTROCK BREWPUB & LIVE, COREDO Muromachi, Chuo-ku, posts all their Taplist daily on their website. Many selections of IPA, at least 16 brews daily. Very good selection of their food list for lunch and dinner. You can enjoy the selection of their tap list while listening to live music, a perfect atmosphere. Reservation is recommended.
There are many other breweries where you can enjoy the different styles. Don’t have to be either in Europe or the USA to have yourself a wonderful time tasting the craft beers, especially the ones brewed in Japan, all can be had in Tokyo. All the above will not disappoint you.
